About Gibson & Associates, LLC
Elizabeth Gibson, President and founder of Gibson & Associates, LLC, has over twenty-five years of management and administrative experience in both the public and private sectors. Her career began in the public sector for the City of Indianapolis and the Indiana Department of Commerce. During the next ten years, her accomplishments included business consulting as well as owning and operating her own construction and interior design companies.
In 1991, Liz joined the Indiana Housing Finance Authority. As a senior staff member, she was responsible for the administration and management of several major federally funded programs with an annual budget of $15-20 million.
In 1994, Ms. Gibson determined that her knowledge and abilities could benefit a wide range of clients in multiple areas. She founded Gibson & Associates, LLC, and immediately began to build a reputation of resourcefulness and the delivery of successful solutions for numerous clients.
In 2005, Ms. Gibson joined The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis as Director of Community Initiatives. As Director, Liz worked with the Museum executive team, board working groups and others to develop and implement a shared vision for the Museum’s community involvement and public policy initiatives. She also served as a catalyst to implement a master plan for neighborhood revitalization
In 2007, Ms. Gibson responded to the ever-present entrepreneurial urge and returned to the consulting business she founded. As President of Gibson & Associates, LLC, Liz Gibson offers her years of wide-ranging experience and expertise to state and local governments and agencies, private corporations, developers, and small businesses. Liz has received designation as a Certified Economic Development Specialist by the Indiana Department of Commerce.
Major Accomplishments:
- Increased participation in programming for underserved Hoosiers by 80%, reaching 18,000 in 2006.
- Designed unique community enhancement program for major bi-state transportation project.
- Performed statewide assessment of direct and in-direct services for human service agency.
- Facilitated panels for community development initiatives and public forums.
- Coordinated the implementation of the Indiana Neighborhood Assistance Program; appointed to Proposal Review Committee.
- Designed and managed architectural services for residential housing development.
- Served as liaison to Indiana Housing Policy Study Commission.
- Served as a member of the Indianapolis Insight Economic Development Issue Committee
